Photo tagging as post-hike homework

After finishing a hike, users were dropped into a chore: review a loose pile of a dozen or more photos and manually match each one to the right waypoint. By then, the photos were disconnected from the place and the moment they were taken, so most people either did it half-heartedly or skipped it entirely.

Tagging in the moment, not after

I moved the decision to the moment it actually makes sense: while recording. The instant a photo is taken, the app asks whether it belongs to the waypoint you're standing at, already showing the other photos grouped there, so tagging takes one tap and happens while the context is still fresh, not as homework afterwards.
