Xavier Morros

My name is Xavier Morros. I’m a Spanish Product Designer. Analytical and driven by first principles thinking.

I have 12 years of experience working on digital products. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to craft high-impact solutions for a broad spectrum of products and services.

For the past 7 years, I’ve been co-leading the Product Design at Wikiloc. Here, I was fascinated by the beauty and inherent complexity of maps and geospatial data products. I worked on a wide range of projects for both web and native applications, handling everything from conceptualisation to the design and launch of new features.

Crafting products is the medium through which I express myself. I believe , design and code form the perfect blend to build valuable things. In my spare time, when I’m not tinkering with code, you’ll find me running in the outdoors or engaged with my next woodworking project.

Strengths & Approach

Systems thinking. I approach design by understanding the full system before touching individual components — mapping relationships, edge cases, and constraints first.

Craft & attention to detail. I care deeply about the quality of what ships. Pixel precision, motion, and micro-interactions are part of how I communicate intent.

Close collaboration with engineering. I work directly with engineers from the start — prototyping in code when needed, speaking the same language to reduce friction between design and implementation.

Strategy & product thinking. I connect design decisions to business goals and user outcomes. Design is a medium for solving real problems, not just making things look good.

First principles. I question assumptions. When something feels wrong I go back to why it exists, rather than optimising what's already there.
